WHO DEY! The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl!

WHO DEY! The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl!

WHO DEY! WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!

It has been a LONG time since we’ve had this much excitement around a football season here in Cincinnati!

There was no way we were not going to celebrate and to do it with those we serve is the best way we know!

WHAT’S PLANNED:

We have a Cincinnati crew and a LA crew and we are all coming out in our orange and black with cookies and cheer.

IN LA:

What better way to show up and say “WE APPRECIATE YOU!” than with something special from your hometown? So with this, we are sending (4) of our trusted volunteers to Los Angeles to say just this! Once there, they will prepare deliveries and distribute almost 700 Busken Bakery Bengal cookies to first responders in the SoFi Stadium area.

Whether it is those working the Command Centers, the streets, or those manning the stations, we plan to distribute Cincinnati goodness with Bengal flare! Toss in some pom poms and lots of smiles, we have no doubt this will be a trip these volunteers will never forget.

BACK HOME IN CINCY:

For our team of volunteers here in the Greater Cincinnati area, we plan to visit various police departments and fire stations to take them their own bit of sweet appreciation with over 950 additional cookies. We are not forgetting our veterans and also plan cookie deliveries to The Fisher House and VA Medical Center in Cincinnati. Those at The Fisher House will also get some finger foods and drinks to ensure they can take in the fun excitement of this time in our city.

HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE:

We rely on and appreciate greatly our volunteers and donors. It is because of those in our communities that care so much that we are able to continue the work we have been doing since our start in 2014 under the original name (and now official OKC project) Cookies for a Cop and our Fire Friends.

If you wish to contribute, you may do so on our DONATE PAGE HERE.

LEARN MORE ABOUT US:

We started in December 2014 with an idea to uplift and with 2.5 weeks to plan, we were able to deliver over 30,000 cookies to first responders in an amazing show of appreciation. We thought this was a one time event but we were wrong. Here we are almost 800,000 cookies later and we:

    • have leaders all across the country to recognize and appreciate their local heroes.
    • have representation in Germany to deliver to our service members there.
    • have taken a Cookie Caravan on an amazing 21-hour round trip marathon to Chicago to deliver 21,000 cookies to the men and women of Chicago PD and FD.
    • have now hosted (2) completely sponsored golf outings – allowing local first responders a day of fun and friendship – without charge thanks to those in their communties.
    • have delivered to veterans at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati.
    • have now picked up The Fisher House to support our veterans facing medical treatment.
    • will be delivering for those partaking in Honor Flights leaving from Cincinnati starting this year (2022).
    • made it all official and became a registered non-profit on World Kindness Day, November 13, 2022 under the name One Kind Cookie!

2nd Annual Fore The Badges

2ND ANNUAL FORE THE BADGES

We hosted our 2nd Annual Fore The Badges golf outing on October 7, 2021. This event is unlike others though and that makes us love it even more.

Corporate and individual sponsors from across the tri-state come together to help us provide a completely sponsored day of fun for our invited First Responders. Golf, food, drinks, and prizes are all included with each invitation.

In 2020 we hosted 112 but upped that number to 120 golfers in 2021 from 47 area departments!

We again thank our amazing sponsors. Without them, this event would not be possible.

For our Veterans

For our Veterans

While delivering with our annual October deliveries to first responders, we decided to gift a few hundred cookies to the Cincinnati VA Hospital for both veterans and their PD. The volunteer services representative was so moved. We asked how often they had deliveries like this and his reply made us pause. “Almost never.”

It was here that we decided we would change this, even if only twice a year.

One particular visit was heartwarming to watch. The boys with us were hesitant to hand out cookies cookies as we walked to the volunteer services office. Before we know it, the smiles and reactions of the recipients had them grabbing for more and more cookies to give out. It’s a wonderful thing when strangers who would have otherwise passed without comment were now smiling, talking and thanking each other – one for service to our country and the other for the kindness shown via a cookie.

Our founding family, supported by many others, now come together to not only deliver with the October deliveries but always make it a point to return at least one additional time to deliver cookies. We’ve delivered for Veteran’s Day and even set up a table inside the front door to hand out cookies to those who come and go.

We’d love to continue this tradition, now through One Kind Cookie, and with your help, we can!

For our First Responders

For our First Responders

The mission that started it all was with our Cookies for a Cop project during a time that kindness seemed to be needed most.

WHAT IS COOKIES FOR A COP (AND OUR FIRE FRIENDS)?

Cookies for a Cop (CFAC) was founded in 2014 with the mission to deliver #sweetkindness to those so deserving. What started with a focus for our law enforcement has grown to now also include those in fire service (and our Fire Friends!).

WHO DO WE SERVE WITH THIS PROJECT?

Each October, thousands come together to deliver sweet treats to police officers, Dispatchers, K9, mounted patrol, PD Impound, Animal Control, Correctional Institutions, School Resource Officers, Firefighters, Border Patrol and everyone in between, including their support staff that help to things moving.

SO FAR WE’VE SERVED UP

Cookies for a Cop and our Fire Friends has now delivered almost 630,000 cookies across the US and to some of our service members serving in Germany. This was all done without a legal business entity or non-profit backing. We were just passionate hearts who wanted to do something nice in the world. We came together and for 6 campaigns paved the way to where we are now.

LAUNCHING OUR NON-PROFIT

One Kind Cookie will take one great idea and expand on it to take the kindness so much further. We hope you see the work we’ve done, the smiles shared, the kindness gifted and join us in taking this to the next level.

The gift of a cookie is such a kind gesture. The gift of hundreds of thousands of cookies – that is an incredible statement of support, appreciation, kindness and love.
